Spectacular is not the word. Every time I see Mr. Steven Spielberg is a genius. The incoming of Omaha beach is breathtaking same is mastered to great effect in MOHAA. Barry pepper (Sniper) AKA Jackson has the character I could die for. Clean of conscience and SNIPER! It is my favorite role in all the MP games. That abandoned chapel where the company sleeps has each of them recollecting their past it mostly comprises of regrets that probably come open when you know ‘it may end now’ but Jackson sleeps soundly- clear conscience. Matt demon is the heart if the movie (Ryan) and pulls off the other feather in his cap. When Ryan talks about his brothers to the relaxing Tom Hanks it shows the genius of Spielberg. And not to mention one of the most gruesome stab death shown- the one where the German very politely pushes the dagger. And Vin diesel’s memorable appearance

One thing to note is that the film gives a ground view of WWII. I mean it’s not one of those epic movies that show from a lens. Spielberg makes the camera a part of the war. I heard the camera guys had a tough time avoiding the flying debris. And moreover the guys lost a lot of pounds training. A part of the army was brought in to play the extras.

I lost count of the times I’ve watched it I even have it on DVD yet I sometimes prefer it to my other ‘entertaining collection’ it is long, but just requires more of sausages.

The film finally portrays irony because saving kills miller. The German jackass miller sets free kills him.

Moral: Never set a prisoner free!
